More than 330 leaders attended and FACE raised more than $145,000.
On Thursday, May 23, 330+ Cuban exiles, Cuban Americans, community leaders and media gathered at the Coral Gables Country Club for the 20th Annual Facts About Cuban Exiles Excellence Awards Luncheon presented by U.S. Century Bank, to pay tribute to three outstanding honorees. The winners of the 2019 FACE Excellence Awards are: Cesar L. Alvarez, Esq., Senior Chairman of Greenberg Traurig, Carlos Alvarez, Esq., expert mediator and former Florida Gators All-American football player, and Miguel "Mike" B. Fernandez, Chairman and CEO of MBF Health Partners, who has contributed more than $100 million to many causes in just a few years.
"The FACE Excellence Awards demonstrated how Cuban exiles have contributed to American society in spite of facing prejudice and poverty at the beginning of their careers." said FACE Chair Aida Levitan, Ph.D. She added that "Cesar L. Alvarez. Esq., Carlos Alvarez, Esq. and Miguel "Mike" B. Fernandez are exceptional role models for the younger generations not only because of their career
success but also because of their service and contributions to charitable causes."

Donations will make it possible to fund activities dear to FACE's members such as updating and digitizing the book Cubans: an Epic Journey and organizing Round Tables for the Next Generation with
