In Memoriam: Gus Machado, South Florida Car Dealer Magnate

A legendary name in the world of car dealerships in South Florida died on May 17, 2022.

Gus Machado, who owned several dealerships across Miami-Dade County and made Gus Machado Ford into one of the largest in the car dealers in history, passed away at the age of 87. The South Florida icon came to America at the age of 15 and later founded one of the largest Ford dealerships in the nation. FACE honored Gus Machado in 2018 with the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award.
