Cuban-American journalist and civic advocate committed to preserving Cuban history and promoting Hispanic representation. Through media and public service, he strengthened cultural identity and intergenerational understanding.
In 2024 FACE honored its co-founder with a special Lifetime Achievement Award for his commitment not only to FACE but also to the Miami community in general and to the Cuban Exile community in particular. For 27 years Sam taught Communications Marketing at the University of Navarra, Spain and co-authored his first book Marketing y Gestión de Periódicos. Then, sponsored by FACE, he co-authored: Cubans: An Epic Journey, Cubanos: un viaje épico, and Cuba: Chronological History.
He summarizes his life experiences thusly: “I'm very proud to be a Cuban American, but also very proud to be an American Cuban.”
