Sam Verdeja

Sam worked for 29 years at the Miami Herald Publishing Co. where, as Marketing Services & Community Relations VP he initiated a wide range of projects such as El Nuevo Herald. In 1995, he started Verdeja Marketing Group. In 2003, he bought Hispanic Magazine, later sold to Televisa. He taught newspaper marketing in Spain and is an international speaker. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from LSU. Sam has spent his life volunteering and/or leading major civic organizations being recognized with many honors. He is co-founder of FACE, where he has been very active. He led a group of authors and writers in publishing three FACE publications: Cubans: An Epic Journey, Cubanos: un viaje épico, and Cuba: Chronological History. He also coauthored Marketing de periódicos and penned his autobiography, My Journey.
