Chemical activity in YBa2Cu3O7 − δ across the normal to superconducting phase transition
Juana (Jennie) Vivó de Acrivós, received her B.S. (1951) in chemical physics from the Universidad de la Habana and her Ph.D (1956) in Chemistry with a Mathematics minor from the University of Minnesota. Her academic positions include Lecturer (1961) at the University of Minnesota; Assistant Professor (1963-1967); Associate Professor (1967-1972); Full Professor (1972-2000); and Emeritus Professor (2000- ) at San Jose State University, California. In addition, Dr. Acrivos also served as Visiting Scientist and Professor at the following institutions: Stanford University, Cavendish Laboratory, and Cambridge University. Her research interests focus on the nature of solid-state phase transitions and the study of condensed matter, and she has published over 100 articles in journals
