César Conde is chairman of NBCUniversal which encompasses NBC News and CNBC. Previously he was chairman of NBCUniversal International Group and NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. Before that, he was president of Univision’s networks division.
Conde was born in New York City and grew up in Miami. His father, Cesar A. Conde, is a cardiologist from Peru, while his mother, María is Cuban. He graduated from Belén Jesuit and was 1991 Athlete of the Year and 1990 Sportsman of the Year. He played tennis at Harvard where he co-founded the Cuban American Undergraduate Students Association. After an A.B. from Harvard in History he earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
