Writer and attorney, considered among the most distinguished academics about José Martí. Mañach graduated from Harvard University and from the Sorbonne in France and then from the University of Havana where he taught for 20 years as well as in Columbia University. He founded Avance magazine and was a constituent in the 1940 Constitution, a Senator, Foreign Minister and Education Minister.
