Presidente Maduro chased by a pot clanging hungry crowd

by Frank Rodríguez 9/5/16

It happened last Friday in Villa Rosa, Margarita Island where Maduro had gone to give a TV address. Foro Penal reported 20 people jailed for protesting, including journalist Braulio Jatar of Reporte Confidencial. In the past Villa Rosa has voted for Maduro and his predecessor Chávez, so are we turning a corner? Hunger is a powerful motivator and there are not enough petro-dollars in Venezuela to (1) run the repression (2) subsidize Cuba (3) and feed the population.
