Leví Marrero (1911-1995) Cuban exile wrote a monumental history of Cuba. He was professor of history & geography at the University of Havana and later in Puerto Rico.  His textbooks were used in most schools in Cuba & he wrote for El País & El Mundo there. His papers are located at FIU. He won Guggenheim Fellowship for Social Sciences, Latin America & Caribbean.
