Leopoldo Fernández, Tres Patines (1904-1985)

La Tremenda Corte serves up stories that closely relate to Cuban culture fusing speech & folk psychology. The plot presents José Candelario Tres Patines accused of petty crimes by Luz María Nananina played by Mimi Cal (ex wife in real life causing many humorous references) & the Galician Rudecindo Caldeiro y Escobiña played by Adolfo Otero (as the typical Spanish immigrant merchant) who appear at the court of El Tremendo Juez played by Anibal de Mar (Fernández & De Mar teamed later as Pototo & Filomenno). The show was cancelled by the Communist government of Fidel Castro but has survived to this day in radio stations throughout Latin America. It was later adapted for TV in Mexico.
