Jeanette Nuñez, FIU Masters in Public Administration & former Representative in the State Legislature became the first Cuban and Hispanic woman elected Lieutenant Governor of Florida on November 6, 2018. She succeeds first Cuban & Hispanic man elected to that position, Carlos López Cantera. She has been V.P. Government Affairs at Jackson Health System and V.P. External Affairs at Kendall Regional and Aventura Hospitals.
