Enrique Labrador Ruiz (1902-1991) writer who won the Hernández Catá & National Literature Awards in pre-Communist Cuba. A member of the Cuban & U.S. Academies of the Spanish Language he came up with a style of novel he called gaseiforme & one for short stories called  cuentería cubiche. Forced into exile he worked tirelessly for the freedom for his homeland.
