25 Nov Cundo Bermúdez (1914-2008)

Secundino “Cundo” Bermúdez (1914-2008) studied painting at San Alejandro Fine Arts School in Havana. In 1941 he graduated from the University of Havana Law School. He went on to study at Mexico’s San Carlos Academy and was founder of the Association of Painters & Sculptors of Cuba in 1949. A winner of many awards his work is permanently exhibited at UM’s Lowe Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in NYC & the Hotel Riviera in Havana, among other places.
